- Our standard Terms & Conditions of Sale provide:
- Unless otherwise specifically excluded in writing, these conditions shall be deemed to be incorporated in every contract for sale by Alwyn Gloves.
- The following sets out those terms applicable to sales via the internet, together with notes and definitions explaining the use of our website.
- All transactions for your purchase of goods from this website are governed by these terms and conditions, and to make a purchase you must be at least 18 years old.
- When you have placed an order and your payment details have been checked, we will confirm our acceptance by Email to you at the Email Address provided by you, thereby making a legally binding contract.
- Your order, our acceptance together with the appropriate information on the website, and these terms and conditions, set out the details of the contract.
- These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
- All contracts are subject to English Law administered in the English Courts.
- Alwyn Gloves shall not be responsible for any consequential loss to the purchaser howsoever the same shall arise.
- All descriptive material, both by word or images, is solely for the purpose of providing an approximate description of the goods to help you reach a purchasing decision, and all goods are subject to availability.
- Privacy. Your personal details will only be used to process and complete your order or to process and answer your enquiries. They will not be sold or otherwise made available to any other person or body.
- Prices, Delivery Costs and Value Added Tax (VAT):
- Prices applicable are shown on our website at the time of placing the order. The "price from" is subject to additions depending on the options chosen and, where appropriate, for Value Added Tax (EU and UK residents only), and for delivery charges which are based on the following charges for single pairs.
- Delivery (Shipping) Charges:
- UK = Free
- EU - excluding VAT = £4.60 per single pair of gloves
- Rest of the World = £9.20 per single pair of gloves
- Additional pairs of gloves:
- EU - excl VAT = add £0.90 per additional pair to price for single pair
- Rest of World = add £0.90 per additional pair to price for single pair
- Payment will be requested from your credit card company before we process your order for delivery. The goods are deemed delivered when passed to the carrier, but they will be insured in transit and every assistance will be given in recovering their cost in the event of a loss. Any claim for non-delivery, shortage or for damage must reach Alwyn Gloves within 14 days of our advice of dispatch.
- The Internet Order Process
- To order you select your choice of gloves from one of our Shopping Catalog pages, and click the "Add To Basket" button.
- When you have completed your purchase(s), click on the "Basket/Buy" button at the bottom of the screen, or the Basket & Checkout link at the foot of every page.
- Your order will be listed on the Shopping Basket page where you can make amendments.
- The prices shown on the site are in UK Pounds Sterling.
- Your credit card company will automatically calculate the appropriate exchange rate of exchange at the time they process the transaction.
- If you are satisfied that everything is in order, click on the "Go To Checkout" button. You will be taken to the Checkout Procedure - Step 1 page to enter your Cardholder's Name and Address details, which is the first part of the 2-stage checkout procedure.
- Please make sure you enter your correct email address, as this is used to confirm your order and all other correspondence.
- Note that once you enter your country of residence on this page, Shipping costs and Value Added Tax (applicable to EU and UK residents only) are automatically calculated and added to your bill.
- Please make sure that all entries are completed correctly, as errors could result in your order being wrongly rejected.
- Once you have completed all the entries, please click the "GO TO SECURE SERVER" button, which will take you to the 2nd stage in the security process, where you you can complete your confidential credit card details.
- If everything is in order, your order will be processed and the order details forwarded to Alwyn Gloves. Note that your credit card information is only recorded in the Secure Server and is never transmitted to anyone. Only the order itself is transmitted to Alwyn Gloves.
- Upon receipt, Alwyn Gloves will process your order as quickly as possible which, if it is a popular style and in stock, will probably be processed within 5 working days.
- If it is a more complex or longer style which can only be made to order, this will extend the processing time up to 21 or 28 days. Exact time scales cannot be given as dwindling numbers of suitably skilled workers means that we have to use outworkers not based at our factory, which can extend the time involved.
- UK deliveries are sent by either Recorded or Special Delivery post, and overseas orders are sent by Air Recorded Post. Deliveries usually take 3 days for UK and EU, and 4-8 days for the rest of the world.
- We reserve the right to cancel your contract for any reason including:
- We have insufficient stock for the order and no firm prospect of obtaining suitable materials to be able to give a definite promise.
- We are unable to arrange delivery to your area.
- One or more of the items ordered were for any reason listed at the wrong price.
- Your payment is not authorized or is refused.
- If we do cancel your contract, we will advise you by email and, within 30 days of your order, will re-credit your credit card with the relevant amount originally debited by us.
- You may withdraw from your contract:
- At any time before the end of the 14th day after placing your order, without giving any reason and without having to pay any penalty, providing that:
- You return the goods you have ordered within 14 days of their delivery.
- You return the gloves to our contact address in the original sealed package within which they were delivered with the package seals and the package itself still intact, at your own cost and without delay.
- You advise us in writing at the address shown on the website of your wish to withdraw.
- Once you have advised us of your desire to withdraw from the contract, the goods have been received by us in the condition in which they were delivered to you and the above conditions have been complied with, we will re-credit your account as soon as possible.
- Delivery
- We will deliver the goods to the address given by you when placing your order.
- Delivery should be made within 21 days of our acceptance, but delays may arise for a number of reasons beyond our control, and we shall not be liable in any way for the results of any delay.
- In case of non-delivery of the goods within 30 days of your order, you must advise us in writing at once at the address on our website or by Email, to enable us pursue a claim on your behalf.
- If the goods we send you are not as ordered or are damaged in any way prior to delivery, you must advise us as above within 14 days, whereupon we may, subject to your agreement:
- Make good any shortage, or
- Replace or repair any goods damaged or defective, or
- Refund to you the amount you paid for the goods.
- Apart from our leather supplier's guarantee of washability and subject to statutory provisions, we make no representations, express or implied, about any of the gloves sold.
- Failure on our part to enforce any of these terms and conditions for any reason will not affect our right to enforce the remaining terms and conditions.
- Refund Policy
- Alwyn Gloves operate an unconditional 14-day refund policy providing the gloves are returned in the same condition they were received. In this event, you should Email us at the Email Address given on the website and return the gloves at your own cost and responsibility to our business address. Refunds, however, cannot be made where the gloves have been worn or deliberately damaged, or have been made specially to customers requirements such as size/fir or length of fingers.
